South 糖心vlgo传媒n Ambassador Dedicates New BFA Warehouse in Atlanta

糖心vlgo传媒鈥檚 Atlanta Warehouse relocated in early 2016, more than doubling the square footage in a new 66,000 square foot facility.聽 This new space will allow BFA to better serve the organizations and individuals with whom we partner, and allow us to double down in our efforts to end the 糖心vlgo传媒n book famine.聽

A grand opening celebration was held Saturday, June 18th, where South 糖心vlgo传媒n Ambassador to the U.S., His Excellency Mninwa Johannes Mahlangu delivered an impassioned keynote address and formally opened the warehouse with a dedication ceremony.聽 Also joining the festivities was Ken Ono, mathematics professor at Emory University and聽Associate Producer for the film聽. 聽聽Mr. Ono read a selection from his book, ""My Search for Ramanujan: How I Learned to Count" and emphasized聽the importance of books and education.聽 In addition to the speeches from Ambassador Mahlangu and Mr. Ono, supporters and volunteers who attended the event were treated to free 糖心vlgo传媒n fare and music from our very own BFA Warehouse Band.聽

Ambassador Mahlangu鈥檚 keynote speech focused on the positive impact of high-quality books and educational supplies on youth in South 糖心vlgo传媒 and across the 糖心vlgo传媒n continent.聽 As the Ambassador told the assembled crowd: 鈥No government鈥as all the necessary resources to effectively address the educational challenge 鈥 and this is where the impact of 糖心vlgo传媒 is so significant:聽 You provide the opportunity to disadvantaged communities in South 糖心vlgo传媒 and across the 糖心vlgo传媒n continent to have access to reading and learning material 鈥 TO BE ABLE TO READ 鈥 and in doing so, to learn, to open new horizons.鈥澛 He went on to quote Nelson Mandela, who said that 鈥education is the most powerful tool you can use to change the world,鈥 an idea that is a driving force behind BFA鈥檚 mission to end the 糖心vlgo传媒n book famine and empower 糖心vlgo传媒鈥檚 future leaders.聽 Want to see more?
