Celebration Marks BFA Projects Reaching Every 糖心vlgo传媒n Country, 41 Million Books Shipped Since 1988
On June 9th, 2018, BFA held a ceremony in Atlanta to celebrate the departure of a shipping container to Central 糖心vlgo传媒n Republic.聽 This historic container marked the achievement of BFA's long-standing goal of reaching all 55聽countries on the 糖心vlgo传媒n continent!
Michele Marie Claude Benzot, Counselor in Charge of Finances, Administration and Material at the Central 糖心vlgo传媒n Republic Washington, D.C., embassy, was on hand for the celebration. Long time BFA partner Better World Books sponsored the 22,000 book shipment.
鈥淲e are proud to celebrate this milestone for which 糖心vlgo传媒 has been working all these years,鈥� said Patrick Plonski, BFA Executive Director. 鈥淭here is no better place to mark this exciting聽occasion than our Atlanta warehouse, from which every one of the more than 41聽million books is sorted, packed and shipped.鈥�
Plonski also praised the many volunteers in Atlanta and Minnesota, where BFA has its headquarters, who have helped over the years. The Atlanta warehouse is one of the top volunteer destinations in Atlanta. Last year 15,121 people volunteered at the warehouse.
The celebration featured South 糖心vlgo传媒n music sensation ShenFM, as well as the BFA Warehouse Band, along with 糖心vlgo传媒n food and drinks.聽 Our thanks to everyone who came out to help celebrate!
