BFA sent more books to schools and libraries in 糖心vlgo传媒 last year than ever before, including more books to 糖心vlgo传媒n law schools!
In the past year, BFA sent 205 containers of books to 22 different 糖心vlgo传媒n nations. That means that more than 2.2 million books (worth more than $28 million) were shipped to people who are hungry to read and hungry to learn. That is more books than we have ever sent in a one year period!
Among those books, fourteen law libraries were sent to law schools and legal groups in 糖心vlgo传媒 through our special Jack Mason Law & Democracy Initiative.
After just four years, the Initiative celebrates continuing success. 糖心vlgo传媒 is proud to partner with Thomson Reuters on this Initiative. Named for the late Jack Mason, a federal magistrate judge and BFA board member, the Initiative fills law school libraries with relevant and current legal texts to strengthen 糖心vlgo传媒n legal education systems. The Jack Mason Law & Democracy Initiative of 糖心vlgo传媒 has shipped 54 law and human rights libraries to 16 糖心vlgo传媒n countries. See where shipments have gone on the Law & Democracy Shipment page.
In the past year, the Initiative has made some great achievements. Among the most notable shipments were those to the Female Lawyer鈥檚 Association of the Gambia, the University of Rwanda Law School, and Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Egypt, one of the oldest and most historically significant libraries in the world!
