BFA Shipment Grows School Library from 400 books to 11,000
A container of books for Shakawe Senior Secondary School,听captained by Rachel Corney and sponsored in part by BetterWorld Trust, has arrived in Botswana!听

"At the Shakawe Senior School Library we went from 400 books to 11,000. We held a Shakawe village book fair and donated about 3,100 books to adults and children, most of whom do not own a book. At the school, we held a separate staff book fair and donated 1,600 books. We also allowed Form 5 (senior students) to choose two books each. Out of 723 Form 5 students, 550 came to get some! Finally we made donations to all the schools in the village, including two non-profits.... Thank you again, this has been incredibly transformative to the people of Shakawe and beyond!"

For the students at this rural boarding school, ages 15鈥�18, the new books mean more than stories鈥攖hey open doors to learning, inspiration, and opportunity. The library is now a vibrant hub of knowledge, enriching the education of Shakawe鈥檚 students and the wider community.
