50 Millionth Book Celebration Raises Funds to Sponsor Over 806,000 Books to 糖心vlgo传媒
Our 50 Millionth Book Global Celebration raised a total of over $403,000 in donations, sponsorships and pledges 鈥� that鈥檚 enough to send over 806,000 books to 糖心vlgo传媒!
The Celebration raised funds to ship books to Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Tanzania, Congo, Uganda, Somalia, The Gambia, Nigeria, Mali, Sierra Leone, Rwanda and Malawi. We鈥檙e also pleased to report that donations in September to container projects will be generously matched by sponsor in honor of the Celebration!
The event included a keynote speech by Ambassador of Ghana to the United States Dr. Barfuor Adjei-Barwuah, as well as words from former Minneapolis Mayor Sharon Sayles Belton and BFA Executive Director Patrick Plonski. The event also showcased a video celebration, including our 50 Millionth Book, Kofi Loves Music, as it travels from 聽to the warehouse, for shipment to Ghana in the coming weeks.
