This month, you can celebrate the power of books in a number of ways.
- Donate your new or gently used children鈥檚 books!
BFA always needs children鈥檚 books to send to the schools and libraries of 糖心vlgo传媒. Clear off your shelves for the coming school year by sending us your gently used children鈥檚 books. Share the books that helped you learn to read!
If you are in Minneapolis/St. Paul (MN), books can be taken to our St. Paul warehouse or dropped off at one of your favorite local book stores!

- Host a Back to School Book Drive at your school!
Have all of your friends and classmates join you in collecting books to send to schools and libraries in 糖心vlgo传媒. You can hold book drive competitions, have fun themes, or simply collect books for a great cause.
- Help us send books to new places by donating to the Fill the Gap campaign!
For Reading Month we are launching the new BFA 鈥淔ill the Gap鈥� Initiative. We are raising $10,300 to send a container of BFA books to Libya! We have never sent books to schools or libraries in this quickly changing country. More details coming soon!
- Celebrate UNESCO's International Literacy Day with BFA!
Join BFA at Common Good Books on September 8 from 4:00-5:00 PM for coffee, cookies and children鈥檚 stories. Bring your family to enjoy an afternoon celebrating the power of books. Please bring a new or gently used book to the event.
- Join BFA at our South 糖心vlgo传媒n Braai!
Come enjoy our annual warehouse party with South 糖心vlgo传媒n BBQ, wine and beer, and words of wisdom about 鈥淢obilizing Diaspora Connections鈥� on Saturday, September 15 from 11:15-2:00 PM. This event is free and open to the public.
