Earlier this year, ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ partnered with the Zambezi Schoolbook Project to ship 5 containers with nearly 350,000 books to Zimbabwe. Distribution is now underway and ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ is pleased to share feedback from some of the partners on the project.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ recently held its 2nd annual Georgia fundraiser luncheon, which was a great success! Attended by a total of 115 guests, which included a diplomat, a state representative, board members, corporate sponsors, volunteers, and even a former NBA player, it was a chance to reaffirm our shared commitment to education across the continent.

Million Books for The Gambia [ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½], a non-profit organisation dedicated to donating free books to schools, has delivered another 40-foot container filled with educational materials to institutions across the country to Gambian schools.

Seventeen years ago, at the 20th Anniversary celebration of ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½, we launched a law book program. Since the beginning of last year we have sent 20 law libraries to legal recipients in 12 ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n countries. We've sent a record number of our reference law libraries this year.

In July, ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ shipped a container of over 40,000 books to support Shakawe Secondary School, a school in the small town of Shakawe in northwest Botswana. Read more about this initiative and partnership, including with sponsor BetterWorld Trust, here!

On Thursday, July 18th, the BFA Atlanta warehouse hosted a group of 30 Mandela Washington Fellow volunteers. As part of their celebration and community engagement in recognition of Mandela Day, Dr. Bezuneh and his team coordinate a volunteer experience with Books for ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ each year.
