St. Paul-based charity Books for ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ received its 10th consecutive four-star rating from Charity Navigator this week, a feat that is only accomplished by three percent of the charities reviewed.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ (BFA) has received its 10th consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, a ranking that only three percent of charities reviewed attained.

The Books for ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ through the Merck e-reader project have on Wednesday given specially designed tablets to the Young ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n Leadership Initiative (YALI) alumni who are in the medical field to trade their ply with ease and convenience.

The ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n Union Ambassador to the U.S., Hilda Suka-Mafudze, will speak at a Books for ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ fundraising event Wednesday. The event will be held at the University Club at 420 Summit Ave., from 5 to 7 p.m, and will also be streamed over zoom for those who cannot or prefer not to attend in person.

Dr. Patrick Plonski loves living in St. Paul, Minnesota, but he also loves to travel. Luckily for Dr. Plonski, he found a job where he gets to do both. Dr. Plonski is the Executive Director of ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½Â (BFA), a non-profit dedicated to collecting, sorting, shipping, and distributing books to children and adults in ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½. For over 18 years, Dr. Plonski has served ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½â€™s mission with dedication and enthusiasm: to end the book famine in ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½. 

The Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Othman Jerandi, tweeted in recognition of the Tunisian government's collaboration with ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½.
