University of Wisconsin-Stout donated more than 12,500 textbooks recently to Books for ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½. The books, which were withdrawn from the University Library Instructional Resources Service, otherwise likely would have ended up in a landfill.

Students in Ghana received more than 16,000 books last week as part of a collaboration between the ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n Diaspora Development Institute and ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½, a St. Paul-based nonprofit.

A container with 16,000 books arrived in Cape Coast, Ghana this week as the launch of a historic trade and investment expo dubbed "Wakanda-One, City of Return" is taking place. The books which will benefit students in the country is a collaboration between the ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n Diaspora Development Institute (ADDI), a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit and the St. Paul based Books for ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½, the largest shipper of donated school textbooks to the ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n continent.

Kisii University Vice Chancellor John Akama and the director of research and outreach at the university Dr. Anakalo Shitandi met on Friday with the executive director of ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ Dr. Patrick Plonksi and a handful of board of directors at the book shipper’s headquarters.

St. Paul-based charity Books for ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ received its 10th consecutive four-star rating from Charity Navigator this week, a feat that is only accomplished by three percent of the charities reviewed.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ (BFA) has received its 10th consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, a ranking that only three percent of charities reviewed attained.
