Business and government leaders understand that business investment alone will not have a significant impact on ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½'s success. It will take a combination of the work of NGOs such as St. Paul-based ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ and US AID support for developing countries, whose funding faces possible severe cuts. Since 1988 BFA has shipped 39 million school and law books to 49 ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n countries. Books are critical to the education of ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½'s students and future workforce.  

Books For ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ is excited to share our 2016 Annual Report!  2016 was a fantastic year here at BFA, and the generous support of our donors has allowed us to make great strides in fighting the ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n book famine.  Check out the report to see highlights from the year and find out more about what BFA is doing.

Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars performed live at the Amsterdam Bar & Hall to help raise funds for ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½.

Edwin Clark University (ECU), Kiagbodo in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta has received donation of  books worth 27 million US dollars.

Books For ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½â€™s new E-reader initiative is set to launch, with initial pilot sets going to recipients in East, West, and South Central ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½.  With cultivated content specific to each region, the E-reader initiative will offer a unique opportunity to put regionally appropriate titles in the hands of students who are eager to read.  

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ Executive Director Patrick Plonski recently returned from Washington, D.C., where he attended the 59th annual meeting of the ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n Studies Association (ASA), and met with key partners, including USAID and several ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n Ambassadors.
