Late last year, ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ (BFA), with the help of the Department of Defense Humanitarian Assistance Funded Transportation Program, sent 110,000 books to students in Malawi. The books, shared between Kamuzu University and the Malawi National Library Service, has positively impacted thousands of students of all ages across the country.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ is proud to announce that its strong financial health and ongoing accountability and transparency has earned it a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ is celebrating its most successful year ever! In FY2023, which closed on June 30th, we shipped over 4 million books to the ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n continent. Read more in our story!

Tom Warth, who founded ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ 35 years ago, led 25 supporters on an 11-mile Twin Cities Book Walk on June 24 from the Minneapolis Central Library to the George Latimer Central Library in downtown St. Paul.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½â€™s annual fundraising luncheon was held Friday, April 28th, 2023 at the Town and Country Club in St. Paul, Minnesota. This year’s event, Reading For All, was highlighted by a keynote speech from William Kamkwamba, author and subject of bestseller The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind!

If you ever visit the ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ Atlanta warehouse, you will probably run into Perry Mitchell sorting books, joking with staff and chatting with fellow volunteers. For the past six years, Perry a former advertising creative director, who is 80, drives 40 minutes twice a week from his home near Emory University to the warehouse in Marietta.
