ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ recently held its 2nd annual Georgia fundraiser luncheon, which was a great success! Attended by a total of 115 guests, which included a diplomat, a state representative, board members, corporate sponsors, volunteers, and even a former NBA player, it was a chance to reaffirm our shared commitment to education across the continent.

In July, ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ shipped a container of over 40,000 books to support Shakawe Secondary School, a school in the small town of Shakawe in northwest Botswana. Read more about this initiative and partnership, including with sponsor BetterWorld Trust, here!

On Thursday, July 18th, the BFA Atlanta warehouse hosted a group of 30 Mandela Washington Fellow volunteers. As part of their celebration and community engagement in recognition of Mandela Day, Dr. Bezuneh and his team coordinate a volunteer experience with Books for ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ each year.

BFA partner Saida Hassan recently held a Free Book Event in Mogadishu, which drew crowds of people eager to take BFA books home!

On July 12, 2025, ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ welcomed local friends, supporters and ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n guests for its annual warehouse party.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ closed its Fiscal Year 2025 on June 30 very successfully, having shipped over 2.8 million books to the continent—an increase of 78% over the previous fiscal year.
