BFA was pleased to get some photos and feedback from a Girls Empowerment Collection that recently arrived in South ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ in the hands of Xoli Fuyani (pictured at left). We also heard from recipient Rethabile Sonibare, who let us know that the books are being distributed just in time for Women’s Month in South ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½!

Former Tanzanian President Benjamin Mpaka passed away on Friday, July 24. Not only was President Mpaka a one-time ambassador to the U.S. and a two-term leader from 1995 to 2005, he was also a friend and supporter of ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½. BFA is pleased to report another record year in fiscal year 2020! Over the 12-month period, we achieved our highest ever numbers for books shipped to ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½. Check out the summary!

We recently got good news from ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n Development University, who used a container of books to make their library collections one of the top well-stocked libraries in Niger!

Distribution is underway for a recent container shipment of 22,000 books in Kitwe, Zambia! Check out the video of restocking at the Buche Public Library, where the Mayor was in attendance.

A Girls Empowerment Collection, sponsored by Luanne Nyberg and Julie Andberg, has arrived in Zanzibar for the Pamoja Youth Initiative!
