Students at the Catholic University of Sudan found a creative way to house their new BFA books: "We purchased a 40-foot sea container and had it remodeled and had shelves made and now it serves as a mini-provisional library. Saturday a group of students assisted in going through all the boxes . . . and re-sorted the books on the shelves so that now in most cases no more than two copies of any one book remain in the mini-library . . . and the rest are boxed and back in the first and smaller container. ASEC-NW recently distributed 25,000 BFA books to 32 schools in the North-West region of Cameroon. Dr. John Suh Che is the registrar at National Polytechnic Bambui, one of the recipient schools. Dr. Che says that 鈥渢he library is now quite busy鈥 and 鈥渢he quality of the books is wonderful.鈥 Dr. Che also makes a plea for more books, noting that they now have 鈥渁 total of just 5,500 books for the library of a higher institution of learning, which is of course grossly insufficient.鈥 Click on the link to read more and view photos of the library and school.
