Our 2012 fall adventures to South ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ and Malawi are fast approaching. We invite you to join one of two group Learning Tours to travel to South ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ and Malawi to visit building sites for ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ Classroom Connection (www.africaclassroomconnection.org) and ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ (www.booksforafrica.org) recipients. Henry Bromelkamp and Peter Maritz will lead two tours that will repeat the same itinerary. Trip one will travel from August 5-22, 2012 and trip two from August 23-September 9, 2012.

Executive director of ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½, Patrick Plonski, PhD, keynoted at the 2012 World Literacy Summit at Oxford University on April 1st. Plonski presented on the Educational Return on Investment for Literacy Initiatives, including analysis of the impact of donated books on literacy in ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½.

The Happy ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ Foundation knows just how exciting 22,000 books can be. So do the children of Zambia after a full container of books was delivered to Livingstone in January 2012! February was brimming with activity as the staff of the Happy ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ Project sorted and delivered all of the books to schools and libraries throughout the region.
