The Books for ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ through the Merck e-reader project have on Wednesday given specially designed tablets to the Young ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n Leadership Initiative (YALI) alumni who are in the medical field to trade their ply with ease and convenience.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ was pleased to host Her Excellency Hilda Suka-Mafudze, Ambassador of the ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n Union to the United States, for a conversation at the University Club of Saint Paul.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ is pleased to partner with Global Minnesota to promote the World Food Day Symposium on October 15, a free virtual symposium to promote global awareness and action around hunger and healthy eating for all.

The ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n Union Ambassador to the U.S., Hilda Suka-Mafudze, will speak at a Books for ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ fundraising event Wednesday. The event will be held at the University Club at 420 Summit Ave., from 5 to 7 p.m, and will also be streamed over zoom for those who cannot or prefer not to attend in person.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ was pleased to meet with our Nigerian partner Sir Emeka Offor in both Georgia and Washington, DC. The purpose of the meetings was to inspect books, discuss strategy, and transfer a Merck Manual tablet as part of BFA’s partnership with Merck.

Dr. Patrick Plonski loves living in St. Paul, Minnesota, but he also loves to travel. Luckily for Dr. Plonski, he found a job where he gets to do both. Dr. Plonski is the Executive Director of ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½Â (BFA), a non-profit dedicated to collecting, sorting, shipping, and distributing books to children and adults in ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½. For over 18 years, Dr. Plonski has served ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½â€™s mission with dedication and enthusiasm: to end the book famine in ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½.
