ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ was recently profiled in two of Atlanta's major media outlets, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and WSB-TV 2 Atlanta, for its work supporting medical personnel in ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ with needed medical resource books during the coronavirus pandemic, as well as assisting students with books during school closures.

In the midst of the coronavirus outbreak, ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ continues to assist medical personnel with needed medical resource books and students with instructional materials. With the help of a recently approved $150,000 grant from the Merck Foundation, BFA is providing thousands of medical resource books in print and medical e-books to doctors, nurses and medical students across the ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n continent.

We recently heard from two of our Container Captains about a recent visit to Rwanda and how books are helping children keep up with their learning during the current school closures.

WSB-TV 2 Atlanta recently covered ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½'s ongoing efforts to ship medical resources to health care workers on the ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n continent.

Even amid a global crisis, ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ is creating cause for celebration! With a recent shipment to Kenya, we celebrated 3.3 million books shipped in fiscal year 2020, which is a record year for BFA.

This week, BFA was recognized with a Platinum Seal of Transparency from Guidestar. The seal recognizes BFA's commitment to transparency in sharing our metrics, which reflect the reach and impact of our programs over time.
