A shipment recently arrived in Tanzania, where BFA partners are finding creative ways to distribute books while maintaining social distancing measures.

A shipment recently arrived in Tanzania with an Elsey Kirabo Memorial library! Schools are not in session, but a few teachers came in to receive the books and unpack them for when the students eventually return.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ was recently profiled in two of Atlanta's major media outlets, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and WSB-TV 2 Atlanta, for its work supporting medical personnel in ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ with needed medical resource books during the coronavirus pandemic, as well as assisting students with books during school closures.

In the midst of the coronavirus outbreak, ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ continues to assist medical personnel with needed medical resource books and students with instructional materials. With the help of a recently approved $150,000 grant from the Merck Foundation, BFA is providing thousands of medical resource books in print and medical e-books to doctors, nurses and medical students across the ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n continent.

We recently heard from two of our Container Captains about a recent visit to Rwanda and how books are helping children keep up with their learning during the current school closures.
