ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ and Thomson Reuters recently celebrated the shipment of their 100th law library to the ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n continent at an event with distinguished guests from both organizations, and congratulatory letters from former Vice President Walter Mondale and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison.

Abdullahi Mire's goal is to put a book in the hands of every child in the Dadaab Refugee Camps in Kenya. This December, in partnership with ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½, he is providing 20,000 books to start a community library in the camps.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ recently delivered a 40-foot container of assorted text and reference books to partner organization Bega kwa Bega (Shoulder to Shoulder), which works to promote education in Uganda. The books will be used by over 2,000 teachers and nearly 55,000 students!

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ is fortunate to have a variety of dedicated partners, both individuals and organizations, who help us make sure the books get to their destination. Their efforts are critical to our mission, and this month's newsletter highlights the work of just a few of them.

BFA board member Lamin "Lang" Dibba recently traveled to The Gambia, where he was present for the arrival of the latest delivery under the Million Books for The Gambia project - a container of about 30,000 textbooks and library books.
