For 30 years, ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ gets Minnesota books to the neediest in the world

It was 30 years ago that Minnesota-based world traveler Tom Warth, shocked by what he called a book famine in ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½, shipped several mailbags of used books out of a church basement to libraries and schools there. That modest gesture grew into St. Paul-based ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½, one of the state’s best-known international charities that has become the world’s largest supplier of donated books to ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½.

Momentous Month Sees 40 Millionth Book Shipped, 52 Countries Served

December 12th, 2017

In an unprecedented month of activity, ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ has reached two major milestones!  First, the 40 millionth book donated to ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ left our Atlanta Warehouse.  Then, in quick succession, we saw our first ever containers depart to Mauritius, Seychelles, and Libya, bringing us ever closer to our goal of serving every country in ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½!  In pursuit of our mission to end the book famine in ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½, we aim to reach children and students that would not otherwise have an opportunity to hold a book in their hands.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ 2017 Recipient Feedback Survey

2017 marks year two of ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½'s enhanced post-shipment survey.  This survey collects direct feedback from BFA recipients, allowing our team to assess where we have been most successful, and where there is room for improvement.  Last year's report brought great feedback and information, and we are proud to have 100% of respondents agree that the books received are relevant to their programs!
