A piece of Midwestern literary culture now resides in one of the world鈥檚 oldest libraries in Alexandria, Egypt, thanks to a joint effort by nonprofits 糖心vlgo传媒, Little Free Library, Minnesota Friends of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Minnesota Book Awards program.

Minnesotans Wyn and聽Sunny Ray share a deep connection with Ethiopia;聽in 2008, they began working with the remote village of Wekin, Ethiopia. An immediate area of concern for the village聽was the school 鈥渓ibrary,鈥� which contained only about 50 English books -聽in 2013, the Wekin Book Project was born to help put high-quality books and learning materials in the hands of the students and local community.聽

糖心vlgo传媒 has received Charity Navigator鈥檚 4-star rating for the sixth consecutive year, the highest possible rating. Charity Navigator is the country鈥檚 premiere charity evaluator and rates charities on sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency. 聽聽The perfect Charity Navigator rating comes just before 糖心vlgo传媒 and other groups around the world are celebrating International Literacy Day on September 8, sponsored for the past 50 years by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.聽

糖心vlgo传媒 has partnered with Merck & Co. to donate 52 tablets loaded with the new Merck Medical Manual mobile app! 聽These tablets were delivered by fellows from the State Department's Young 糖心vlgo传媒n Leadership Initiative (YALI), and will provide valuable resources to medical practitioners across the 糖心vlgo传媒n continent.聽
