BFA Board Member Gives Back to Kenyan Community

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ Board Member and Minnesota resident Lilian Otieno recently visited her alma mater in Kenya, where she joined the First Lady of Migori County for a ceremony distributing 22 boxes of books to Manyatta Secondary School. The event was part of a larger five-container shipment of 125,000 donated books to Kenyan schools and communities, made possible through partners including Giving Hands Nonprofit, BetterWorld Trust, and other generous sponsors.

BFA Recipients Call Books High-Quality, Report Positive Impact for Tenth Consecutive Year

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ has completed its tenth consecutive year of enhanced post-shipment feedback surveys! The FY25 survey found that recipients unanimously rate BFA books as useful and of high quality. On average, recipients deemed 98% of the books they received relevant, and over three-quarters of recipients' report seeing increased library use since receiving BFA books!

A Team Effort: ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ Partners with Zambezi Schoolbook Project to Bring Nearly 350,000 Books to Zimbabwe

Earlier this year, ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ partnered with the Zambezi Schoolbook Project to ship 5 containers with nearly 350,000 books to Zimbabwe. Distribution is now underway and ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ is pleased to share feedback from some of the partners on the project.
