Last year, 10 years after its start, Lamin Dibba's 1 Million Books for the Gambia project celebrated having shipped literally 1 million books, ranging from children's books to college texts, to the tiny ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n country of 2.5 million. In 2015, US and UK based teen entrepreneurs, Eline Asase, Azzarrée Uwhubetine, Amirrah Uwhubetine, and Sedinam Asase founded the Child2Child Book Foundation to help ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½n children improve English literacy through reading.

Leighton traveled to Ghana recently for the Commonwealth Magistrates and Judges Conference. During his trip, he was able to visit three organizations that received law libraries through the program: the Ghana Supreme Court, the Ghana Book Trust, and the Ghana Federation of Women Lawyers.

ÌÇÐÄvlgo´«Ã½ has just completed its seventh year of post-shipment feedback surveys! Recipients overwhelmingly reported that the books they received were useful and of high quality, and we can look back over seven years of consistently positive trends.
